Crafting Mixtape
Our friends at ESPN asked us to create a launch film and content library to highlight each of the NBA teams in a visual way for their primetime show NBA Countdown. We were drawn to the idea of using mixtapes to showcase each of the teams logos.
There is a certain music to the game, and we felt like this would be a great harmony of visuals that could easily be swapped / mixed and matched / and changed up to show all the different matchups during the NBA season.
In addition to directing the spot and writing the voice over, we designed and handmade 45 custom mixtapes, one for each of the 30 NBA teams and 15 specialty NBA / ESPN branded cassettes.
