Behind the Film

ARRI commissioned us to concept and create the launch film for their new camera the ALEXA Mini. We wanted to create a piece that encompassed the freedom of adventure, was visually beautiful, and that put this brand new small form factor camera in a wide variety of shooting locations & situations.

We teamed up with Freefly Systems who provided technical support, gear, and crew throughout the duration of the shoot. During the project we used their newly developed MoVI M15 rig as well as the Alta drone to accomplish the multitude of dynamic shots we had envisioned for the piece.

This film was created as a launch to not only a new camera from ARRI, but also a new form factor. Small, mobile, highly adaptable.

We created this film to showcase the new format - taking it anywhere from flying on a drone above an icy mountain top, to gliding along the waterline as the ripples from a canoe rolled past.

Behind The Scenes

Providing both ARRI & Freefly with Behind-The-Scenes photos was a large component of the project.

We created the hashtag #ARRIJourney so that cast, crew, and the influencers on our shoot could share imagery and videos as people followed along with the launch of the ALEXA Mini.
